The Kitchen Offers All Languages to Program Distributors

A new language services hub, The Kitchen, operated by TM SYSTEMS, is providing motion picture and television program distributors the chance to endorse their product in multiple languages. With a global network of vendors integration, sharing a common, fully integrated, proprietary digital language solution, this service remains the only end to end solution. This service, with its Global Language Network of dubbing and subtitling affiliates, provides worldwide language customization services.

Through The Kitchen language hubs, in Miami and in Los Angeles, all language services are provided: transcription, translation, dubbing, subtitling, graphics and closed captioning. An original language template is created, with automatic time codes and character names that assure matched versions, in any language. Utilizing the proprietary TM SYSTEMS technology, all masters remain in house, files are digitally sent via secured FTP sites to approved dubbing and subtitling vendors throughout the globe, voice casting is done over the Internet, the need for videotape is eliminated, shipping charges are done away with, customs delays are nonexistent, with final mixes completed at The Kitchen.

`No longer do distributors have to relegate themselves to selling a program in one language,` Ken Lorber, president and CEO of The Kitchen and TM SYSTEMS explained. `Utilizing our proprietary technology and our extensive list of global partners, we now can offer a distributor the opportunity to promote and take program orders in any language. This opens up a world of opportunity, literally,` he added.
