Boswell Art Gallery features Narnia
Who can forget the magical world of Narnia? This December, Narnia will visit in Atlanta. The Boswell Gallery will feature original artwork celebrating the beloved book, `The Lion, the Witch, and The Wardrobe` during the holidays. On Thursday, Dec. 1st from 6 - 9 pm, the gallery will offer Narnian coloring activities for families enjoying this delightful opening event.
Lejeune relates that her artwork was conceived when she was invited to participate in a thematic exhibition in California on classic books but initially was assigned to do a different book. `I remember asking to do `The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe` instead,` she relates, `because I loved reading `The Chronicles of Narnia` as a child.` The resulting image is an inspired representation of good against evil that both young and adult art fans can appreciate. A digital artist whose work has been exhibited in galleries in New York and Los Angeles, this will be the first showing of Lejeune`s work in Atlanta.
The art exhibition `Small Works` is curated by gallery owner Elliott Boswell and features work by several artists including Lori Lejeune, the artist who is presenting her inventive interpretation of the children`s classic.
