Shutterfly Joins Fight Against Ovarian Cancer
Shutterfly, the leading independent e-commerce company specializing in digital photo products and services, is proud to sponsor a photo studio for children attending the eighth annual "Super Saturday". Hosted by Donna Karan, Charla Lawhon, "In Style" magazine and Kelly Ripa, Super Saturday is a fund-raising event for ovarian cancer research that features activities for fashion-lovers and the entire family.
Super Saturday ticket holders can shop at this one-of-a-kind designer "garage sale", which will include clothing, beauty products and accessories from more than 200 designers, who are donating their products. For the first time, Shutterfly will host the Kids Photo Studio, a fun experience where children can "play dress-up" -- choosing from a large selection of costumes -- and mug for celebrity photographer Matt Peyton. Shutterfly Studio guests will receive a ready-to-frame 8X10 photograph and a digital image to share with friends and relatives.
"OCRF is excited to welcome Shutterfly and their photography studio to Super Saturday 8 -- it`s sure to be a hit with kids of all ages," said Co-Executive Director, Louisa Terry, OCRF. "The shared commitment among our sponsors is an important part of this special event and helps us raise awareness in finding a cure for ovarian cancer."
All proceeds benefit The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF), a not-for-profit organization devoted to the formulation of early diagnostic treatment programs and research towards the ultimate conquest of ovarian cancer. Since 1998, Super Saturday has generated more than $5 million on behalf of ovarian cancer research, and OCRF hopes to raise more than $1 million at this year`s event.
