New theater reviews website in US national capital

Whether you knew it previously or not, Washington, DC, has the second largest professional theatre community in the United States. In keeping with this statistic, the DC Theater has announced the launching of a theater review website.

The site will provide professional reviews of current attractions of DC`s theater world and direct links to reviews written by other local critics. In addition the website will provide listings of all new productions at no charge to the production company.

A a portal that provides original reviews while providing links to all the other reviews of a particular play or musical is a new and unique idea and their goal is to not only to cater to the established community, but to also bring the joy of professional theatre to those who have not experienced it.

Says Walter Ruff, one of the founders of the website, "Our mission is to provide the DC Theatre Community with a portal to the DC theatre scene by providing honest, professional reviews of new plays and musicals and direct links to all of the other reviews of that production. News and community gossip will round out the offerings. Our success will be based on our goal to bring DC Theatre to those who have never experienced professional theatre and to provide a new exciting way to read reviews of new plays and musicals to the existing community."

According to Ruff, "Everyone wants to make informed decisions on how to spend his or her entertainment dollars, we want to give that potential theatre patron all the information they need to do that while promoting theatre to those that have never experienced DC`s wonderful theatre offerings."
