Telenovela Dubbing at `The Kitchen`

Telenovelas, today`s 120-180-plus episodic television series, are the hottest form of television entertainment today. Its origins probably date back to the golden old days of pre-television, detergent-sponsored radio series`. And although English speaking audiences were the only ones addressed in the past, today`s Telenovela reaches the Spanish households, the Portuguese families, West Africa, Hungary and Estonia.

Soon, the Telenovela will be seen in primetime?..reaching American households of all demographics on a nightly basis. `The demand,` according to Ken Lorber, President and CEO, `of `The Kitchen`, is remarkable. On a monthly basis we may have as many as 40-50 episodes in some form of production. Actors come in and out. A different language is heard in every studio. M & E`s are often re-created.
