Great Workshops from Better Photo
The worldwide leader in online photography education, Better Photo, recently published and announced the 2006 schedule of their popular Better Workshops. Better Photo Better Workshops are a mini-course on wildlife and nature photography. But there is homework to do before attendees meet on location. Participants are supplied with articles, links, a lesson, and an assignment to help them prepare properly for the photo shoot. Once the workshop is completed, participants upload their favorite photos from the shoot to be critiqued and analyzed by the instructor.
Better Photo brings together nearly 50,000 active members for learning, fun, and community. The site offers over 50 different online photography classes, taught by world-renowned, published authors, the Winter session begins on January 4, and students can still sign up. The monthly Better Photo contest, considered the best on the web, brings in almost 20,000 entries monthly, and awards winners in 10 categories. The workshops are coordinated in partnership with Triple D Game Farm based in Kalispell, MT, whose trained and well-cared for wildlife models have appeared in a variety of publications, documentaries and other cinema productions. The workshops are open to both digital and film photographers, and offers photographers the chance to photograph wildlife models in an array of natural, beautiful settings.
`Our Better Workshops are a new, fun approach to wildlife photography workshops,` said Jim Miotke, President of Better Photo. `Our combination photography adventures provide both on-location excitement and online critiques of participants` work that continues the learning.`
Better Photo`s Better Workshops will be led by their team of instructors, seasoned and published professional photographers, including Jim Zuckerman, Peter Burian, Charlie Borland, Vik Orenstein, Kathleen Carr, and Jim Miotke, who also teach over 50 different online courses for Better Photo.
