`Reading is Fashionable` Campaign with Stacie J.
Stacie J., better known to you all as one of the key contestants on Donald Trump`s reality show, `The Apprentice`, is a successful entrepreneur and well known fashion model. Recently, she has decided to put her good fortune to good use and has joined with Magazine Literacy to launch the `Reading is Fashionable` campaign at her Subway food franchise in Harlem. Stacie, who is serving as a national spokesperson for the `Reading is Fashionable` campaign, in an after-school enrichment program at nearby PS 242 in Harlem, has shown that giving back to the community is very important to her.
`Stacie J.`s generous personal support serves as an important model for the community-based partnerships that are vital to helping kids learn to read, and to the success of our mission,` said John Mennell, Founding Director of the Magazine Publishers Family Literacy Project. `It is such an honor and a pleasure to work with Stacie to reach out across America to inspire local business support for teachers and other literacy agents in their own communities. Our goal to help them get the reading materials they so desperately need to help children learn to read,` he added.
