Slip `N` Slide`s Decade Celebrations
Labor Day weekend in Miami, beginning September 2nd and continuing on through Monday, September 5th, will host celebrations commemorating native-based Slip `N` Slide Records` ten year anniversary. Producing some of the music industry`s biggest hits, Slip `N` Slide Records has been credited with putting Miami on the music industry`s map. Ted Touche Lucas, president and CEO of Slip `N` Slide Records, and the crew, wish to thank South Florida, fans, and the entire music industry for the great support they have received through the last several years. They welcome all lovers of urban music to come and celebrate in Miami in this festive weekend.
This will be a celebration unlike any other, and a portion of all proceeds will benefit Concerned Citizens for Miami-Dade County Schools and the Miami Coalition against Crime. With this in mind, the management team has conjured up festivities that will include a by-invitation-only cocktail party at a private mansion on South Beach September 2nd. Day two includes a yacht party, and an A-list party hosted at one of Miamis newest hotspots that evening. Guests can dance under the stars at a formal reception at Parrot Jungle Island on day three. Who can turn down an old fashioned barbeque complete with soul food? Thats on day four. Slip `N` Slides team have been tight lipped about details on the events which will include some major surprises, top performances, and some of entertainments biggest names who will be present to help blow out the candles.
Led by renowned executive Ted Touche Lucas, Miami`s favorite record label will welcome hundreds of top figures in the music and entertainment industry as they toast to an exciting occasion and major achievement - a 10th birthday in the 305 area code and the industry as a whole. With such artists as Trina (a.k.a The Diamond Princess) and the release of her 3rd album entitled `The Glamorest Life`, featuring Trick Daddy on the label, its no wonder why Slip `N` Slide has become synonymous with cutting edge stars and chart-topping music.
When asked for his plans for the label within the next few years Lucas stated, `I would like to take Slip-N-Slide to a new level and become one of the major Record Labels in the Music Business, similar to Interscope Records. Another one of my more immediate goals is to expand to other genres of music.`
