I Want My MTV2!

Orange County has spawned the pop music mega band No Doubt and the hit show The OC and now MTV is coming to the area to find the newest MTV2 VJ! Popular MTV2 VJ Jim Shearer will be master of ceremonies at the live auditions taking place during the Festival of Children(TM) at the South Coast Plaza. One contestant will be selected to appear on MTV2 in Orange County as a guest local VJ (must be between the ages of 18-24 to audition). Celebrity appearances and performances by hot local bands Scarlet Crush (2002 and 2003 Orange County Music Awards Best Pop Rock Band) and Off Limits will rock the day. The 3rd annual Festival of Children(TM) event brings out the Southern California community to support over 50 local charities via activities and events every weekend in the month of September.

WHY:

To search for the next MTV2 on-air personality who will bring the local music scene news and action to Orange County. Attendees (18 and older) also will have a chance to enter an MTV2 2$Bill contest to win tickets to an MTV2 concert, travel and accommodations plus other great prizes.
