Newborns in Need to Receive $10,000 Donation from Collectibles Today
September 17, 2004 -- Newborns in Need, a charity founded on Christian values to help newborns who are less fortunate will be receiving a $10,000 donation from Collectibles Today.
Newborns in Need was founded in 1992 to help alleviate suffering for babies born into poverty through providing clothing, blankets and other essential items. TeLesa Lack, National President of Newborns in Need, comments "Newborns in Need is very grateful to Collectibles Today for their generous donation made on behalf of sales from their most recent "Emma" doll. The funds that we received from this wonderful relationship have allowed us to reach out to many of the sick and needy babies that we serve". The Baby Emma doll was created by Ashton-Drake Galleries, exclusively for Collectibles Today who is donating $10 from every Baby Emma doll purchase to the Newborns in Need charity. "All of my dolls are special to me, but this one is very close to my heart since she will help real newborn babies", remarks lifelike baby doll artist and creator of Baby Emma, Linda Webb.
The astonishing resemblance of Baby Emma to a newborn baby even down to the heart inside of her that beats is remarkable. Artist Linda Webb took special care in designing Baby Emma, from her hand applied hair and eyelashes to each hand applied toe and fingernail. Even Baby Emma"s RealTouch vinyl skin feels just like a newborn"s. Although Baby Emma, has sold out due to incredible collector interest, however the Newborn"s in Need charity will also receive $10 from each purchase of Lee Middleton"s Sweet and Innocent doll, which is available at Collectibles Today.
Collectors can feel good about purchasing the Baby Emma doll as contributions from every purchase are made to the Newborn"s in Need charity.
