A successful real estate agent is one that will be working with majority of the property being bought and sold in the area ? take a drive through the neighborhood and see which real estate agency has erected the most ?for sale? signs. Also, flip through the newspaper real estate section, or a real estate publication, and see how many advertisements the company has published ? the more the better.

Personality is a crucial factor when choosing a real estate agent. The business relationship you hold with the agent will have to endure several months (on average), and you should therefore feel comfortable when speaking and interacting with them, and feel able to trust them. As such, they should also have an aggressive nature with regards to sales ? it is both yours and their interest.
