More Clothing Made of Bamboo to Debut
Bamboo Styles, specializing in men`s and women`s casual apparel made from bamboo fiber officially announced its grand opening in July of this year. Now that Bamboo Styles sells its unique apparel directly to consumers, through its website and at various personal events around the Midwestern United States, Bamboo Styles also now plans to sell its products wholesale to independent retailers throughout the country.
Bamboo Styles` CEO and founder thinks bamboo materials have grown increasingly popular because of bamboo`s "versatility", and says that "clothing is just the latest of the many uses that bamboo has to offer." According to Greg Napolitan, "It is interesting to me that some clothing manufacturers have spent an enormous amount of resources producing these qualities synthetically in the laboratory, while nature has been offering them to us all along. It looks like Mother Nature does know best."
Napolitan continues, "Unlike conventional cotton, it is grown without the use of pesticides or fertilizers. Once bamboo is turned into fiber and made into clothing, it not only becomes extremely soft, but also maintains its naturally occurring characteristics. These include anti-microbial, hypoallergenic, UV protective and moisture wicking properties."
