Yahoo and Google Go Head to Head
The end of the year is coming and it is time to evaluate how successful a business has been. Whet it comes to two of the most popular search engines on the Internet, Google and Yahoo, looks like the former is successful to an extent that a latter can`t measure up to. According to the statement of Yahoo`s chief financial officer, the sales for the quarter would be low, as a result of various setbacks with advertising of the auto and financial services.
Lately Yahoo has been struggling with several problems. One project in particular was supposed to help boost Yahoo`s business, however most likely those plans are still to be expected. The long anticipated application that Yahoo has been promoting for quite a while is an innovative search platform for advertisers, code-named Panama. Even though the company has promised to release this long-awaited technology in the summer, the project is still in the making, and is currently expected to come out in the fourth quarter of the year.
Google, on the other hand, is making a lot of progress this year. It has suffered from several setbacks in the beginning of the year, however now Google`s sales are stunning the executives at Wall Street. There is an additional element that can serve as a positive influence on Google`s proceeds: the purchasing of YouTube. Now, equipped with everything that YouTube has to offer, Google has all the necessary assets to outshine Yahoo in the upcoming year, and has large chances of becoming more attractive to potential advertisers.
