McDonalds Takes the Blame for Excess Weight

Has the world gone mad? Or do the major food-businesses have to pay a large price for the right to release their products? We all know about the latest trend: the healthy lifestyle, which has been really hurting the big businesses that make their money from producing food that don`t exactly fall under the "salad" category. One of the most notorious "victims" of the race for the good figure is McDonalds.

Rarely can you find a person that didn`t enjoy a burger with some fries once or twice in his lifetime. Of course, McDonalds is an extremely powerful globally acclaimed company, and probably doesn`t need to worry too much about the impact of the new "healthy food" politics on its proceeds. However, the latest news regarding the subject is extremely shocking! Is it possible that we have gone too far with our new "healthy" ideology? The news is that recently Judge Robert Sweet has allowed a lawsuit to proceed against McDonalds.

The story is that two teenage girls claim that the ads for McDonalds have deceived them, and lured into eating too much in this well-acclaimed fast-food chain, therefore "driving" them into obesity. Could be that McDonalds will have to face one of the most shocking lawsuits yet and pay a pretty high price for selling its product. However, isn`t it supposed to be our responsibility to decide what and how we eat, and don`t blame the restaurants that serve something other, then celery sticks?
