Google Brings On the Music


If you are even vaguely familiar with the Internet, then you are aware of the fact that the most popular search engine out there is Google. Millions of users utilize this tool daily and are very satisfied with its services. Search engines are part of the useful function of the Internet, however, no one is forgetting the entertainment, which is also a crucial part of the Web culture. One of the most popular websites is the YouTube that is also visited daily by numerous users.

Well these two popular Internet giants have decided to join forces. Many significant deals were closed this week, and finally Google have decided to buy this video-sharing website for $1.65 billion. On the surface the two companies will keep working independently, YouTube staff will also stay intact. Additional deals were closed this week, including YouTube signing an agreement with CBS that will present news, entertainment and sports in the short-video format on the YouTube website.

Additional deals that Google has closed during the recent period of time include the distribution contracts with Warner Music and Sony BMG. Since the company`s first priority is to boost the quality of its services to the users, this announcement will probably make a lot users happy. First of all, for the upcoming month all Google users will be granted free access to various music videos, interviews and other footage, courtesy of this new deal. Hence, looks like business is looking good for both YouTube and Google!
