Horror Flicks Attract Large Revenue

October is here and we are preparing for a good scare. Obviously, October brings with it a number of good news for various industries, such as retail stores that sell Halloween costumes and masks. And don`t even get me started on the candy stores that are also going to be a big hit this season. However, in addition to dressing up in tacky vampire costumes and filling our plastic pumpkin baskets with all sorts of candy there is one more thing we like to do around Halloween, - watch horror movies.

Friday the 13-th is nearing and this can be a good rehearsal for the most bloodcurdling holiday of the year. Too bad that the next Jason movie is not being released. But nevertheless, there are enough scary movies to go around. Hollywood has realized already that this business is extremely beneficial, and that it`s worth investing into. This season the audiences will be excited to see the new "Grudge" movie, the prequel to "Texas Chain Saw Massacre" and the next "Saw" movie.

Investments specifically into the horror-movie making can prove to be incredibly beneficial. There are numerous reasons to this, one of them is the fact that the stars of the movies are usually unknown actors and they do not demand large paychecks. Therefore, the horror movies are very low-budget and at the same time extremely popular among the audiences. Hence, this is good business for the Hollywood studious and the industry is already thinking of expanding the genre onto TV screen.
