Playboy Comes to Vegas
Lately the Playboy empire seemed to be experiencing some downfalls. Although it is hard to imagine that a product as popular, as what the Playboy magazine offers can ever be out of fashion, the fact remains a fact, - the sales have dropped. In an effort to boost the circulation and advertisement sales, Playboy Enterprises has decided to become a part of the Las Vegas Palms Casino Resort. A club is going to be opened in one of the Palms towers.
According to the expectations of Playboy`s Chief Executive Christie Hefner, the new club is going to make an annual $4 million, partly through fixed and royalty payments from the Palms. The new club is bound to attract large crowds and increase the proceeds of Playboy Enterprises. The club is going to feature a lounge and a gambling area, as well as restaurant, a nightclub and the Hugh Hefner Sky Villa with its famous rotating circular bed.
According to several estimations, both of the Palms and of Playboy`s Executives the new club will draw various crowds. Many young people will come to the club attracted by the notorious bunny ears and by the whole scandalous image of the company. More so, after the launching of the show "The Girls Next Door" on Channel E!, a whole new audience of young women has developed an interest in Playboy. Playboy`s plans include the expansion of the business, by opening similar clubs in Macau and London.
