Junk Food Business Remains Popular


We are all aware of the immense popularity of the healthy lifestyle, due to the simple fact that we are constantly exposed to its promotions by various sources of media. Hence, according to logic, the first ones to suffer from the healthy lifestyle propaganda were supposed to be the junk-food businesses. Seemingly, most people were supposed to exchange the cookies for apples and pretzels for granola-bars. But in reality the picture is entirely different.

According to the recent survey: "The Attitudes in the American Workplace", most employees, as well as employers, have a junk-food addiction. Even thought most, if not all, large corporations dedicate a lot of time to promote the healthy lifestyle, including the food aspect of it, the junk-food vending machines seem to be winning this battle. Any special occasion, such as holidays and birthdays is celebrated with cakes and candy as opposed to healthy food.

Hence, it seems that most businesses in the field of junk food still manage to stay afloat. Most people, when it comes to their workplace, find comfort in potato chips and chocolate, and do not appreciate to be deprived of it. An additional interesting fact has been noted by the survey: bigger companies promote widely the healthy lifestyle, however they invest into the not-so-healthy vending machines at the same extent. Yet, smaller companies do not support the healthy way of living as much, but the amount of junk-food vending machines is much smaller.
