Businesses Will Have to Pay to Artist
Numerous businesses feel like they are powerful enough to do anything and often do not take responsibility for their actions. Many companies are willing to use anything for the means of promoting their goods. Sometimes the use various images or messages can be provocative, scandalous or entirely illegal. However, when it comes to the business`s hopes to increase the proceeds ? anything goes.
But there are some people brave enough to stand up for their rights. For instance, artist Arturo De Modica thinks that he has been too tolerant to the lawbreakers. De Modica is the highly-acclaimed artist, the famous creator of the New York statue of the "Charging Bull". The statue has been in New York for 17 years and has important symbolical meanings. The statue of charging bull is supposed to symbolize the return of the Wall Street after the 1987 stock market.
However, De Modica gas registered copyright on the bull 1998 and is now willing to fight for his rights. He claims that numerous businesses have been using the image of the bull for the bull for various promotional purposes. De Modica is willing to launch a lawsuit against hundreds famous corporations. Well-know businesses such as Wal-Mart and North-Fork Bancorp are among the companies that De-Modica is going to sue
