Better Business for Mothers
Working mothers have had to suffer in a mans business world for decades. It has only been in recent years that working mothers have had the ability to balance being a mom with being a member of the working class. However, there are still many businesses which limit the time that women have with their families and children. One women?s magazine has recently released their list of top businesses for the ever popular working mother. Working Mother Magazine, for the first time, has recognized 25 small companies that are creating innovative, family-friendly workplaces for their employees.
The companies were nominated by Working Mother readers and are featured in the April issue. Editors scored more than 250 entries based primarily on three areas of emphasis: work/life benefits, entrepreneurial spirit and programs to help women advance. Working Mother?s Editor-in-Chief Susan Lapinski declared, ?These small companies prove that it doesn?t take deep pockets to give employees what they want and need to balance work and family. What it does take is a commitment to productivity, happiness and overall job-satisfaction, plus the creativity to establish workplace practices that women really value.?
InsureMe?, an Englewood Colorado insurance lead referral company offering online support to consumers looking to buy insurance, was one of the businesses awarded Working Mother Best Small Company for 2006. Established in 1993, InsureMe pioneered the internet-based insurance lead business and now provides thousands of insurance professionals with millions of referrals. InsureMe is a values-based business and is focused on creating a rewarding work environment for all InsureMe employees.
