If you were wondering what the best jobs in the United States are, well, then you?re in luck: Because a lot of people have them! Okay, so that?s kind of a letdown, but worry not, for you?re going to see them mentioned here (well, at least the first top ten). Drum-roll, please?the best job ? as considered by financial magazines ? in America is, in our internet-connected, computer-heavy age?a software engineer! That?s right, it would seem that the best job in America goes to the nerds! Well, the nerds that are helping out kids play the games they love to play ? we?re not talking simply about the ordinary software engineers.
The second best job in America is to be a college professor. No doubt, it must be quite engaging to be at the head of a classroom that often has plenty of young women in it, but we?re not talking about the college professors who like to date their students. We?re talking about the guys and gals making $80,000 a year, and also including community college teachers, graduate TAs, and others in the field.
The upside to wanting to go into college education is that there are many jobs out there for those looking for them. Remember, though, that getting tenure is an issue a lot of the time.
