Entertainment Magazines Going Public

What`s more important to you: Reading the latest about US government regulations or finding out all the details behind the potential marriage of Brad and Angelina? If you are like most people in the US and UK, Brangelina, TomKat and KFed means a whole lot more to you than Forex, currency fluctuations and mergers and acquisitions. The fact is, entertainment news sells substantially better than business and even world news. Everyone wants to know who baby Shiloh resembles.

What does this mean for business world? All this comes down to is the fact that one major entertainment media in the US is about to go IPO. American Media, a privately held business that publishes Star, a celebrity entertainment magazine, The National Enquirer and Globe, best selling supermarket tabloids, and popular fitness magazines Men`s Fitness and Shape, seems as if its taking steps towards becoming an IPO.

There is one major clue in any successful privately owned business that will tell you that it is headed towards going public. This is of course is having a complete rehiring of your management, which is precisely what American Media has done. If the company does decide to go IPO there are few who doubt that it will become a success. With the gossip business growing with every birth, divorce or breakup, there is no telling how high these stocks will soar.
