PlayStation Might Be Bad for Business
When Microsoft released the X-box it seemed the life of the Sony PlayStation as we knew it would all change. However, the X-box seemed weak in many aspects and the PlayStation consoles continued to thrive. The release of PS2 was great for Sony business, and it is safe to say that almost everyone who owns a game station in their homes has a PS2. But then Microsoft came out with a battle plan and released the X-box 2, months before the PS3 was ever supposed to be released.
The X-box 2 may have been a success for Microsoft, but all Sony fans out there have been waiting patiently for the PS3. So where is it? It seems that the PS3 is causing business problems for Sony, in fact, if Sony suffers one more problem with the release of the new video console, their entire electronics business strategy could be in trouble. The system, which was slated to be released this summer, ha been delayed yet again to mid-November.
Gaming fans however, can rest assured that when the PS3 is finally released to the general public it will blow every other video gaming console away. It is safe to say that the cost of this system will be a bit more expensive than initially predicted considering the cost involved with incorporating a high-def DVD player and a Cell microprocessor into the console. If you are planning on purchasing a PS3 this November, be prepared to dole out at least $500. Although, you could wait till the price drops in about a year or two.
