Saving Your Salary Important
If ever you were wondering about what it means to budget, talk to the people who earn very little money compared to you. I?m not talking about those people who make less than you next door ? I?m talking about the people in foreign countries who simply just don?t live in a place with an economy that enables them to be as upwardly mobile as workers in many industries (and heck, people in regular life) would like to be. You might be amazed to discover that the salary you take for granted is merely a wish to those abroad.
For example, there are people in industrialized nations making not even a living wage by American standards. Luckily, for the country that they live in this is acceptable. But heavy borrowing isn?t just a part of life in America, in some countries, people will get into a massive amount of debt to simply live their lives as they feel they need to live them (in other words, they?ll rack up the debt in order to simply just eat!). But in all truth, it really isn?t how much you earn that makes the differences so much ? it?s how much you save, too.
Those who have good jobs, or are just starting out in good jobs, with good salaries, might not remember to save what they should. And they should save as much as they can. Yes, it isn?t the easiest thing in the world to save when so much is so expensive, but saving what you can is the important thing. It?s more important, in fact, than saving what you should. So the next time you?re thinking about a ?big ticket? purchase because you have the money, maybe a rethink is in order.
