2006 Pricing Conference

Proper pricing is essential in any retail business for customer flow and success. This is why the 2006 PPS Spring Conference is drawing in businesses big and small for their pricing conference. Nothing is more important to customers than how things are priced in relation to other merchants, and with the pricing conference your business can find out how to label your items. The 2,000+ member Professional Pricing Society, PPS, will hold its 17th Annual Spring Conference in San Francisco on May 3-5, 2006. This event sold out in 2005, drawing more than 500 corporate executives and pricing professionals from around the world to the City by the Bay.

This year?s event promises to be even bigger. The field of pricing is moving to the forefront of everyone?s agenda. The PPS is hearing about pricing strategy everywhere in the press, whether the topic is discounted ?employee pricing,? bundled services debates, or new books and reports on power pricing and inflation. Everyone from global giants to the corner service enterprise realizes that the road to increased profits requires getting your pricing on the right track. Leaders in the profession will speak at the General Sessions, followed by two days of educational seminars. Headlining this conference is the dynamic Thomas J. Winninger, author of ?Price Wars? and ?Full Price?, Completing the General Session offerings are Laura Preslan of Deloitte, Reed Holden of Holden Advisors, and Frank Luby of Simon-Kucher & Partners.

Conference attendance has increased steadily every year. Last year?s Fall Pricing Conference drew the largest gathering of Professional Pricers in the world, and it showcased the largest gathering of Pricing Software Solutions anywhere. As a result, PPS Conferences are now ?The Central Shopping Location? for firms considering upgrading their pricing tools and technology needs. This years program will include a pre-conference workshop day featuring one-day workshops on B2B Pricing, Pricing for Service Providers, Retail Pricing and always popular Core Skills II. As in the past two conferences we anticipate over 200 professional pricers will be certified.
