Ending Poverty, Is the World Ready?

With technological advancements reaching the point where they are today, it is astounding that so many people are left in poverty. Whether it is malnourishment or the spread of disease, it seems that people around the globe are suffering when there is no need. Are we ready for a leap in another novel direction brought on by Information and Communications Technology? Apparently Secure Growth Projections, SGP, thinks so. SGP is an advocate of accelerated economic growth. When asked whether poverty can be brought to an end the response from SGP is affirmative. The technology and know-how required to end poverty caused by scarce resources does exist. Nonetheless, poverty will always exist in some shape or form. It is not caused by scarce resources alone, sometimes it can be caused by having resources in excess or moderation at the wrong place or at inappropriate time when an alternate condition is required within a given economic setting.

Many years were spent developing ideas on economics, explains SGP. A great deal is learnt and taught in economics, people know so much yet if it is adequate why do so many people today continue to endure high levels of poverty, why do business still fail, why do people able and willing to work still find themselves unemployed, why do viable businesses continue to close down and successful ones persistently fear failure? Questions like these led research back to some of the fundamentals of economic theory to test their validity in the pragmatic world. Research found itself in disagreement with each concept as it evolved, even the basic economic problem no longer held the charm, perfection and logic it once had, SGP explains.

Ongoing research went on to reconstruct some of these fundamentals block by block as expressed in the ?16 Tables? which are critical of some fundamentals in contemporary economics. An approach was developed called Operating Level Economics (OLE). It reads like a new branch of economics that answers the fundamental problems found in economics without breaking rules in theory. SGP?s views on Operating Level Economics focus on resource creation. i.e. providing resources governments require to provide adequate social services, that industries require to function optimally, that workers and shareholders require to lead fulfilled lives. Thus far SGP has an application that demonstrates how this approach to economics can remove the burden of tax on households and businesses at no cost to government, accelerate growth in GDP and increase government revenues using EOS, ICTs and emoney.
