Hastingwood based business Mouse2House was short listed in no less than 4 separate categories, "Best Customercare & Service", Best Sales & Marketing", Best Growing Business" and "Best Small Business". Mouse2House reached the finals in 2 categories and presented with the 2005 "Best Small Business" award at the glittering Essex Business Awards.

The 2005 Essex Business Awards has been the biggest ever and supported by the Institute of Directors, Essex Chambers of Commerce, Chelmsford Borough Council and Brentwood Town Centre Partnership. The "Best Small Business" category is for businesses with up to 50 employees, who can demonstrate achievement in: Effective Business Planning, Management and Employee Skills, Use and Development of Innovative Business Technology & Process to raise Productivity, Success Attaining Goals during 2003-2004 business period and the adoption of Recognized Good Business Practice Models.

The judges were impressed by how quickly Mouse2House built up a thriving business from just ?300 start-up capital. Managing Director Iggy Quazi and Operations Director Steve Kite started the business from home in 2001 with the first orders being dispatched from the kitchen table! The Mouse2House team is now eleven strong with the company being one of the major players nationally in its field. The small business is a specialist supplier of Digital Imaging Media and Accessories including, Memory Cards, Printer Cartridges, Photo Paper and Digital Storage Solutions.
