The Book People Expands Their eBusiness Capability

Morpheus, provider of eBusiness solutions, has announced this week that a leading UK online book supplier will invest in IBM WebSpehere Commerce technology in order to extend its e-commerce capabilities. The Book People, as the company is called, is going to purchase six more WebSphere Commerce Professional Edition Licenses to support the increase of online sales and the planned growth as their partner companies ? which include Red House and School Link - all re-launch this year using the WebSphere Commerce framework.

The Book People has supplied books over the internet since it was established in 1988. It originally chose IBM?s e-commerce solution to re-engineer the core framework of its web site in September 2005, and selected IBM business partner, Morpheus, to build and support the new site. Since the implementation, page hits and sales have increased by 15%. The redeveloped web site offers a more personalized service, wish lists, and a VIP loyalty programme.

The Book People are expecting sales volume to increase even more, and due to previous success with IBM`s product line, have chose to extend their Company`s deployment using the WebSpehere line once again.
