Poker Business is Going Strong

When it comes to big business, the poker industry is hitting all the right notes. From the online gambling industry to land-based poker tournaments and televised games, the business of poker is certainly booming. This can be seen in part at the 2nd annual Poker Industyr Expo which will be held in San Jose, Costa Rica at the end of this year. The Poker Industry Expo is a convention that covers the business of poker, focusing on management, marketing and technology. Poker room and online poker executives will be in attendance.

The event is also planned to have a tournament in the evening for industry executives and professional players. The tournament is planned to be held at the Fiesta Casino, a licensed casino operating in San Jose, Costa Rica. The tournament will represent the best of poker strategies, tactics and playing skills by poker executives and some of the most seasoned poker players that exist today.

Last year`s event brought attracted some of the biggest names in poker, including Mike Caro and Doyle Brunson. Also present were executives from the largest Internet poker companies and major software providers. Payment processors, marketing executives, poker affiliates and affiliate managers were present at the 2005 event.
