New Pittsburgh home for AEO

Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell announced last week the investment of nearly $6.5 million to support American Eagle Outfitters` new corporate headquarters in the state from its previous location in the same state, and the creation of 325 new jobs because of the new move to Pittsburgh.

The financial package offered to American Eagle Outfitters through the Governor`s Action Team will enable the company to purchase a new headquarters building in Southside Works. The relocation will free up space for the expansion of the company`s distribution center in Warrendale.

"American Eagle`s expansion is a big reason why Pennsylvania is breaking its jobs record," Governor Rendell said. "By investing in American Eagle Outfitters, we are strengthening Pittsburgh`s Southside with hundreds of new jobs. We continue to see our economy grow and businesses expand as we invest our resources and help to create new opportunities for Pennsylvanians."
