Holiday Season of Big Electronics Sales
A recent IBM survey suggests 55 percent of consumers plan to spend some portion of their holiday budget on consumer electronics. IBM says two-thirds of consumers buying electronic products said they seek multi-functionality from their devices.
Another poll, by comparison shopping search engine Smarter, claims that Microsoft`s Xbox 360 and Apple`s black iPod Nano are two of the main presents customers are clamoring for this festive season. Motorola`s RAZR phone and the latest plasma screen television from Panasonic are also expected to be popular as well.
While the day after Thanksgiving officially starts the holiday shopping season, it is no longer the busiest shopping day. Last year, it was Saturday, Dec. 18, a week before Christmas, according to the International Council of Shopping Centers.
