Industry Leader Reaches Out To Customers Who Lose In Acquisition

September 23, 2004 -- Learn.com, number one in creating and projecting power-on-demand e-learning, announced today a Conversion Allowance Program for customers put at risk by Pathlores acquisition of DKSystems, made public on September 13th. Under this *Conversion Allowance Program (CAP) Learn.com will pay for current DKSystems or Pathlores clients data conversion, user navigation design, and implementation when they purchase the Learn.com LearnCenter LMS Hosted or Installed solution. Learn.com understands the dangers our competitors clients face resulting from the continuing industry consolidation. Learn.com is the only company of its type in this market today that is privately held, profitable, and not backed by Venture Capital. This allows Learn.com to focus on what is truly important: the clients needs, goals, and objectives, while at the same time building cutting-edge, state-of-the-art technology. It appears others are more worried about an exit strategy or next quarters earnings or investor meetings. Learn.com is firmly committed to delivering what everyone was promised this new paradigm would deliver almost a quarter century ago. As more and more e-learning companies consolidate with overlapping technologies, provide no added value to their current or future clients, or simply close their doors, there is one safe heaven: Learn.com. Who wants to risk their huge investment in time, money, and reputation in acquiring an e-learning platform and have it all become obsolete months after their purchase? Customers always lose in a software acquisition of identical capabilities. We want the client to focus on creating and projecting power-on-demand e-learning, not which LMS will dominate in a merger?, How will they support both product families?, and Which development effort will get first priority?, said Jim Riley, President and CEO of Learn.com. Notwithstanding Oracles much-publicized hostile attempt to take over PeopleSoft, software acquisitions have historically failed the customer. This is why we want to give both Pathlore and DKSystem customers a chance to reconsider their options under our CAP program, said Riley. * CAP costs cannot exceed 50% of the cost of the licensed software purchased from Learn.com About Learn.com Learn.com is the industry-leading provider of e-learning solutions to organizations of all sizes.
