Company Wins Prestigious E-Commerce Award

Branded DMS (Document Management System), the revolutionary new internet-based service enables computer users to perform tasks that were once only available to organisations that had invested in installing expensive local and wide area networks. Subscribers to DMS are able to access, view and edit documents online and provide authorised colleagues with qualified access to these documents. The award ceremony was held at the Brooklands Hotel in Barnsley. The black tie event was sponsored by the DTI in association with Business Link, and was attended by companies from all across the North East and Yorkshire regions. The awards recognise the success and ideas of companies through out the region, and are aimed at showcasing new and exciting services offered by companies today. Virage Limited took first place in the Best Use of Broadband category, for its DMS service which is revolutionary in its approach and unique in its application, allowing anyone to have access to documents from anywhere, anytime. The prize which was a gold award and a cheque for 2000 was presented by Business Link and Yorkshire Forward.
